"Cantacuzino Palace is the most representative residence built by Ion D. Berindey and it can be considered an epitome for his eclectic buildings." (Sidonia Teodorescu, Mari arhitecti bucuresteni: Ion D. Berindey, Editura Vremea, 2014, p. 59).
The description of the palace, as seen by the chroniclers of the time, at inauguration:
"A splendid building with a Louis XIV-style facade, ceilings painted by famous artists, such as Petrascu, Vermont, Voinescu and Mirea; bronzes and statues made by the sculptor Storck; carved wood and wrought iron forged by the craftsmen of Bucharest; pressurized steam central heating radiators; 600 incandescent lamps - a true work of art as a whole."
